We thank Martha Pendley for her many years of faithful, diligent work as President of the ECW. Martha has decided that "150 years" (1950's to 2009) is long enough, and has decided to step down. As one of her final official acts, Martha gave the Annual Report for the ECW Treasurer for 2009.

Thanks, Martha. We wish you well in all your endeavors.

ECW Prayer

Almighty God, we pray that You will bless our work in mission and ministry in the world. Help us to pray fervently, labor diligently and give liberally to make known the power of your love given through your son Jesus Christ. Let us not forget the lessons from the past nor fear the challenges of the future. Anoint us with your grace and shine in our hearts as we reflect your light throughout the world. Amen.

Coming Events:

Sunday, June 20th - 12 noon -- Fathers Day dinner and bake sale at the church following the 10:30 service. This will be a fund-raiser - $5.00 per person, $3.00 per child. Please bring a covered dish with "Fathers Day" type food as the theme. For those who like to bake, muffins, cookies, cakes, etc. are welcome as things that the dads in our church family might enjoy later that evening or week. These fund-raiser dinners are sponsored by the ECW as part of the effort to help the church in these tight financial times.

Sunday, July 4th - 12 noon -- Fourth of July Ice Cream Social at the church following the 10:30 service. This will be a fund-raiser - $5.00 per person, $3.00 per child. In addition to ice cream, we plan to have the "makings" for banana splits, fudge sundaes, etc. along with hot dogs (as the entree). It will be a good time for food, fellowship, music, and an enjoyable time together. Musical parishioners are invited to bring your instruments. We have so much talent in our church family.

Saturday, August 14th - 10:00 am to 12:00 pm -- Redeemer ECW Meeting. This will be a good time to discuss what we would like to do over the next year (September - August). There are copies of the ECW Interest Survey in the parish hall with the responses received about interests and possibilities. The theme for lunch will be summer produce.
